In celebration of International E-Waste Day, observed annually on October 14 , the
Community Service and Environmental Development Committee at Mansoura National
University launched an awareness campaign to highlight the importance of the safe disposal and
               recycling of electronic waste.

As electronic waste continues to pose a growing global environmental challenge, the campaign
provided key safety guidelines for handling old electronic devices, including:

                   1. Remove batteries from electronic devices before disposal.
                   2. Cover battery terminals with insulating tape and store them in proper containers to
                       reduce fire risk.
                   3. Avoid puncturing or damaging lithium batteries, as they may explode.
                   4. Use separate bins for e-waste to facilitate safe collection and recycling.

This initiative reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental
responsibility, encouraging students and the community to adopt eco-friendly practices and
               support a circular economy.
