Emergency Response Training Empowered Pharmacy Students
In alignment with its commitment to
community service and healthcare
awareness, the Faculty of Pharmacy at
Mansoura National University organized a
comprehensive First Aid Training
Workshop on October 14, 2024, in
collaboration with the Egyptian Red
Crescent Society. The workshop was held
under the Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater,
University President, and the supervision of
Assoc. Prof. Ahmed El-Sheikh, Director of
the PharmD (Clinical Pharmacy) Program,
and supervised by Assoc. Prof. Amal Fathy,
Coordinator of the Community Service and
Environmental Development Committee,

and coordinated with the Youth and
Volunteering Club of the Egyptian Red
Crescent. This workshop attracted a large
number of students eager to enhance their
emergency response skills. Participants
received practical training on how to handle
critical situations such as heart attacks,
fractures, burns, sunstroke, fainting,
drowning, and more. The training aimed to
equip students with essential first-aid skills
needed to act swiftly and effectively before
professional medical help arrives. It also
reinforced the role of pharmacists as frontline
responders and responsible health advocates
within their communities.
