In November, 2024, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Mansoura National University launched its 3
awareness campaign focused on the life-saving importance of blood donation. The event was held
under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, University President, and the supervision of
Assoc. Prof. Ahmed El-Sheikh, Director of the PharmD (Clinical Pharmacy) Program, in
collaboration with the Mansoura Pharmacy Pioneers (MPP) team. The campaign promoted
blood donation as a vital humanitarian act that contributes to saving millions of lives each year. It
also aimed to strengthen students' sense of social responsibility, volunteerism, and community
solidarity. The campaign featured a variety of impactful educational activities, including:
               • Awareness sessions on the health benefits of blood donation.
               • Informative presentations showcasing its positive impact on both individual and public health.
               • On-site blood type testing, allowing participants to discover their blood group and better
understand their role in supporting the healthcare system.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 350 students and staff members from
different faculties, making it one of the most successful student-led health initiatives at MNU to
date. This impactful campaign was generously sponsored by Aslan Company, whose support
played a key role in expanding the campaign’s reach and ensuring its success.
