Faculty of Pharmacy Implemented Reciprocal Teaching Strategy in
                                          Parasitology and Virology Course

As part of Mansoura National University's ongoing efforts to enhance the effectiveness of the
educational process and develop students' critical thinking skills, the Faculty of Pharmacy
implemented the reciprocal teaching strategy in the Parasitology and Virology course, under
the supervision of Prof. Rasha Baroua. This strategy, regarded as one of the active learning
approaches, actively engaged students in the learning process. It allowed them to alternate between
the roles of teacher and learner through discussions, concept explanation, question formulation,
and summarization. The experience contributed to stimulating analytical thinking and enhancing
classroom interaction. This initiative reflected the faculty’s commitment to adopting modern
teaching strategies in pharmacy education, in alignment with international academic standards,
and to enhancing students’ preparedness for both the labor market and scientific research.
