Occasions’ Interactive Pharmacology Workshop
“Feedback-based Learning”
As part of Mansoura National University's efforts to empower its students to broaden their
horizons and acquire new skills beyond the traditional framework of education, and under the
patronage of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, University President, and the supervision of Assoc. Prof.
Ahmed El-Sheikh, Director of the PharmD (Clinical Pharmacy) Program, the Faculty of Pharmacy
organized an educational activity as part of the practical sessions for the Pharmacology course.
This initiative gave students the opportunity to explain scientific lessons to one another, moving
beyond the conventional method of lectures delivered by the instructor.
What made this workshop unique was that every student participated by presenting a specific part
of the course content covered since the beginning of the year. This allowed them to experience a
comprehensive educational approach based on the principle of “feedback.”
Pharmacology staff who organized this initiative explained that the main goal of this method was
to clarify the difference between traditional “presentations” and the concept of interactive learning.
This experience highlights the importance of incorporating feedback into education, thereby
enhancing student engagement and the development of their academic skills through practical
application.
