Mansoura National University Launched Enactus MNU to Empower
Student Entrepreneurship

On November 26, 2024, Mansoura National University celebrated the official launch of its
Enactus MNU team, marking a significant milestone in embedding entrepreneurship and
innovation within the university’s culture. The inauguration took place under the patronage of
Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, University President, and in the presence of faculty deans, program
directors, administrative staff, and a large audience of enthusiastic students.

This initiative aligned with Egypt’s national vision and the Ministry of Higher Education’s
directives to empower youth and cultivate entrepreneurial thinking across academic institutions.
During the event, Prof. Cherif Khater emphasized that entrepreneurship was a key pillar of the
university’s strategic plan and expressed his commitment to positioning Mansoura National
University as a leader in entrepreneurial education. He also extended his gratitude to Assoc. Prof.
Ahmed El-Sheikh, Director of the PharmD (Clinical Pharmacy) Program, and Assoc. Prof. Ehab
Abdelhay, Director of Engineering Programs, both serving as Enactus MNU team supervisors, for
their dedicated efforts in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation on campus.

The event was organized by the dedicated student volunteers of Enactus MNU, under the guidance
of Mr. Hassan Abou El-Wafa, Student Affairs Officer and Administrative Supervisor of the team.
The launch featured a series of awareness sessions and inspirational talks aimed at introducing
students to the world of entrepreneurship and how to build impactful, socially-driven projects. Key
highlights included:
• A session by Eng. Mohamed Gamal, representative of Enactus Egypt, who introduced the
organization’s mission and encouraged students to join Enactus as a unique platform for
developing entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
• A talk by Dr. Mahmoud Amir, founder of Fit & Fresh and a Shark Tank winner, who shared
his entrepreneurial journey and the process of transforming his ideas into a successful startup.
• A keynote by Mr. Ayman El Sherbiny, a LinkedIn Influencer, who discussed how students
could use LinkedIn to promote their entrepreneurial projects and access career opportunities.
• A panel discussion featuring Dr. Rami Yassin and Dr. Nehal Hreidy, who exchanged insights
on competitive strategies and navigating the startup ecosystem.

The establishment of Enactus MNU represents a powerful step toward nurturing a new generation
of socially conscious entrepreneurs, capable of leading change and driving community
development through innovation and teamwork.
