First Aid Course – Level 3
“First Aid Dos and Don’ts: Learning Through Activities”
In alignment with Mansoura National
University’s vision of preparing students with
essential life-saving skills beyond the classroom,
students of the First Aid & Emergency
Medicine module participated in an interactive,
activity-based project. This initiative emphasized
basic first aid knowledge, practical application,
and community awareness. By engaging students
from pharmacy, non-medical fields, and high
schools, the project bridged theory with real-life
emergency response, ensuring preparedness and
confidence in managing urgent health situations.
The primary aim was to equip students with
essential first aid competencies, correct
misconceptions, and encourage innovative
methods of health education that can reach both
academic and community audiences.
Project Objectives
• First Aid Knowledge Development: Provide students with accurate, up to date first aid
resources and encourage self-learning through research and group discussions.
• Teamwork & Creativity: Assign diverse topics (burns, fractures, fainting, asthma, etc.)
to student groups, encouraging role-play videos, awareness posters, or campaigns.
• Communication Skills: Train students to explain first aid concepts clearly for the general
public, using simple terms, visual aids, and demonstrations.
• Awareness Beyond Medical Fields: Extend knowledge-sharing to non-medical colleges
and schools through campaigns, brochures, and Q&A sessions.
• Community Engagement: Partner with local organizations, arrange awareness sessions,
and encourage students to share knowledge with families and peers.
• Use of Educational Tools: Apply videos, infographics, flashcards, and social media
platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
