Mansoura National University Celebrates
“World Creativity and Innovation Day”
On Tuesday, April 23, 2025, Mansoura National
University marked World Creativity and
Innovation Day with a special event titled
“Financial Inclusion and Entrepreneurship:
Toward Sustainable Economic
Empowerment.” The event was organized by the
Entrepreneurship Center at the university,
under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Khater,
University President, and led by Assoc. Prof.
Ahmed El-Sheakh, Director of Pharm D
program (Clinical Pharmacy) and the
Entrepreneurship Center, with the supervision of Dr. Randa Hany, a core team member
of the center. The event was held in collaboration with the Rally Team at Mansoura
National University and the National Bank of Egypt, featuring the participation of Ms.
Reem Mosallem, Small Business Development Specialist at the National Bank of
Egypt.
The session focused on the critical role of the financial inclusion as a foundational
enabler for entrepreneurs. Discussions highlighted how an inclusive and secure
financial ecosystem can support the growth of startups and small businesses, while
enhancing their capacity for innovation, resilience, and long-term sustainability. The
event saw strong attendance and engagement from students, who participated in vibrant
discussions around the tools and initiatives offered by banking institutions. a key focus
was placed on the importance of early financial literacy for aspiring entrepreneurs and
idea-stage innovators. Ms. Reem Mosallem emphasized that financial inclusion is not
merely a banking term, but rather a strategic pillar of sustainable economic
development. She noted that empowering Individuals and small businesses with access
to formal financial services can bridge funding gaps and foster broader economic
participation.
This event reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to promoting innovation and
supporting entrepreneurship through strategic partnerships with leading financial
institutions—chief among them, the National Bank of Egypt. The initiative aligns with
the university’s broader vision to empower youth with the tools and knowledge required
to thrive in a smart, inclusive economy.
