“Empowering Pharmacy Students Through Self-Discovery: Psychology

Activity for Career Readiness”

As part of the Psychology course (3UR), the Faculty
of Pharmacy, Mansoura University, conducted an
innovative and impactful activity aimed at enhancing
students’ self-awareness, understanding of career
paths, and essential interpersonal skills. Over 700
students actively participated in this experiential
learning initiative, which aligned with the faculty's
mission to prepare well-rounded graduates ready to
meet the dynamic needs of the labor market.

The activity was implemented in two main phases,
each carefully designed to support students’ self-
discovery and professional growth.

Phase 1: Self-Assessment via Reach Platform

Phase 2: Personalized Mentorship Sessions

This activity marked a pioneering step in integrating personality development with academic
instruction in pharmacy education. It served as a vital link between students’ personal insights and
their professional futures.

By combining psychological tools, personalized mentoring, and structured planning, students
developed:
• Self-confidence and career clarity.
• Greater awareness of their roles in
healthcare and the community.
• Readiness for future internships,
projects, and employment.
