Orientation Course – Level 1

“Understanding and Knowledge of Different Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms

and the Role of the Pharmacist in the Market”

               Ac tivity Objectives:

               • Enhance students’ understanding of key aspects of dosage forms—including indications,
                   dosages, side effects, and contraindications.

               • Deepen awareness of various pharmacist roles: community, hospital, industrial, and digital
                   marketing pharmacists.
               • Strengthen internet research skills through evidence-based exploration.
               • Develop presentation and role-play competencies, enabling students to creatively convey
                   complex pharmaceutical information.
               • Foster innovation in communication techniques and materials.
               • Promote team collaboration and effective task distribution among students.

               Activity Implementation:

It began with forming small student groups (n= 80),
each group was tasked with researching a specific
therapeutic category delving into key areas like
therapeutic indications, standard dosing, potential side
effects, contraindications, and safe usage guidelines.
               This phase strengthened their pharmaceutical
knowledge and grounded their learning in practical,
research-based investigation. In week 4, each group
produced an informative brochure summarizing the
essential aspects of their drug category. These
brochures reinforced students’ skills in medical writing
and visual communication. By week 9, students
transitioned to role-play presentations, where they
tackled the different roles of pharmacists. Each
presentation showcased not only their research findings
but also how pharmacists apply clinical knowledge in
               real-world professional settings.
