                                                                             "
                                              "Microbiology EduGame

In alignment with the university’s policy of adopting active learning strategies and fostering
innovative thinking among students, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Mansoura National University
organized a creative educational activity entitled Microbiology EduGame. The event was held on
Sunday, May 9, under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Khater, University President, and the
leadership of Assoc. Prof. Ahmed El-Sheakh, Director of Pharm D (Clinical Pharmacy) Program.
Supervised by Microbiology and Immunology Staff members, the activity targeted second-year
students, who were divided into small interactive groups. Each group was tasked with developing
innovative educational games inspired by topics from the General course. These games aimed to
merge learning with entertainment, ensuring that students actively engaged with the material while
               strengthening teamwork and creativity.

The student-designed activities included a variety of formats:
                   • Matching Games – to train memory and enhance concentration.
                   • Knowledge Recall Games – to test theoretical information in an engaging manner.
                   • Guess the Concept – identifying microbiological terms from expressive images.
                   • Snakes & Ladders (Educational Edition) – a creative adaptation of the classic game with
                       microbiology-based challenges.
                   • Scientific Puzzles – problem-solving activities rooted in course content.
                   • Interactive Computer Games – blending technology with active learning.
                   • Escape Lab Project – a team-based challenge requiring speed, collaboration, and
analytical skills to “escape” by solving microbiological puzzles.
