Cell Biology Course- Level 1
“Enhancing Practical Skills through Structured Exams and Interactive
Activities: Cell Biology Lab Highlights”
As part of the continuous efforts to bridge theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, the
Cell Biology practical course at the Faculty of Pharmacy adopted a dynamic approach in both
assessment and student engagement activities. This approach aimed to enhance students’ practical
competencies, scientific thinking, and community-oriented awareness.
On May 10, 2025, the practical cell biology exam was conducted using a Slide-Based Timed
Questions Format, a method designed to objectively evaluate students’ practical skills and critical
thinking. The exam comprised 9 stations (slides), each focusing on a key area of cell biology, with
students allotted one minute per station to answer specific, skill-based questions.
This structured exam format ensured a standardized, fair assessment while fostering students’
ability to think quickly and apply knowledge in practical scenarios.
