The Training and Excellence Center Organizes a Workshop on Using

LinkedIn to Build and Develop a Professional Personal Identity

In line with Mansoura National University’s ongoing efforts to enhance digital skills and
empower academic and administrative staff with modern professional communication tools, the
Training and Excellence Center organized a workshop entitled:

“How to Build and Develop a Professional Identity on LinkedIn”

The workshop was held on the morning of Wednesday, July 9, under the patronage of Prof.
Cherif Khater, University President, and the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Ahmed El-Sheakh,
Director of the Training and Excellence Center and Pharm D (clinical Pharmacy) Program. The
event targeted faculty members, support staff, and administrative staff, with the aim of equipping
participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to optimally use the LinkedIn platform. The
training emphasized both presenting personal skills and academic qualifications, as well as
expanding professional networks in line with the rapid changes in academic and administrative
work environments.

Key topics covered included:
• Creating a professional LinkedIn profile.
• Drafting a digital résumé that highlights academic and administrative competencies.
• Applying self-marketing strategies and showcasing areas of expertise.
• Interacting effectively with professional content.
• Building and maintaining an active professional network.

Assoc. Prof. Ahmed El-Sheakh highlighted that the University’s Training and Excellence
Center will continue to deliver programs aimed at developing the digital and professional skills of
university staff, in line with the institution’s vision of advancing human capital development and
adopting international best practices.
