Mansoura National University Academic Council Convenes to Discuss
                                      Readiness for the 2024/2025 Academic Year



               The Academic Council of Mansoura National University held its 8th session on Saturday, August
               10, 2024, chaired by Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, University President. The meeting focused on a
               series of strategic preparations and institutional updates to ensure a smooth start to the 2024/2025
               academic  year.  Attendees  included  the  deans  of  faculties,  academic  program  directors,  and
               supervisors of student affairs, admissions, and campus services, in addition to members of the
               president’s technical office and several key administrative staff.

               Key agenda items addressed during the session were as follows:
                   •  Approval  of maintenance plans for lecture halls,  classrooms, training laboratories, and
                       workshops.
                   •  Finalization of academic schedules for the upcoming academic year.
                   •  Strengthening of the coordination office team to streamline admissions and enrollment
                       processes.
                   •  Completion  of  university  housing  upgrades  to  expand  capacity  and  improve  living
                       conditions ahead of student arrival.
                   •  Establishment of a Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Center.
                   •  Official approval for the establishment of a Human Rights Unit.
                   •  Endorsement of the university’s updated strategic plan.

               Scholarships and Financial Support for 2024/2025:
               The Council approved a comprehensive set of scholarships and tuition discounts, including:
                   •  Excellence Scholarships for top-performing high school graduates.
                   •  Scholarships for students with disabilities and children of martyrs.
                   •  Merit-based  scholarships  for  the  highest-achieving  students  within  each  academic
                       program.
                   •  Athletic Excellence Scholarships for distinguished student athletes.
                   •  Tuition  fee  discounts  for  children  of  the  university’s  permanent  faculty  members  and
                       administrative staff.

               Additionally,  the  Council  approved  research  publication  incentives  for  faculty  whose  work  is
               published in high-impact international journals (Q1 and Q2) under the university’s affiliation.
               This  session  reflects  the  university’s  continued  commitment  to  academic  excellence,  student
               welfare, and institutional development, as it prepares to welcome a new cohort for the 2024/2025
               academic year.
