Faculty Participation in the Global “Earth Hour” Initiative
switching off non-essential lights and
electrical devices across all its facilities
for one hour. This participation reflected
the faculty’s dedication to supporting
both national and international efforts to
raise awareness of the risks posed by
climate change. It also emphasized the
importance of promoting
environmentally responsible behaviors,
such as reducing energy consumption and
combating global warming, in order to
ensure a more sustainable future for
coming generations.
It is worth noting that Earth Hour was
first launched by the World Wildlife
Fund (WWF) in 2007, and has since
grown into one of the world’s largest
