In line with its continuous efforts to support academic
excellence and encourage innovation and scientific
research, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Mansoura
National University held its Fourth Academic
Excellence Awards Ceremony for the first semester of
the 2024/2025 academic year on the evening of
Monday, February 3. The event was held under the
patronage of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, University
President, and led by Assoc. Prof. Ahmed El-Sheikh,
Director of the PharmD (Clinical Pharmacy) Program.

The ceremony was attended by prominent academic figures, including the deans and directors of
various faculties and programs, members of the academic and administrative staff, and
representatives from the university’s leadership. During the opening speech, Prof. Cherif Khater
emphasized the university’s status as a fourth-generation institution, established under the
guidance of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, with a mission to advance education and fulfill Egypt's
Vision 2030. He highlighted the university’s commitment to offering globally competitive
programs, fostering qualified human capital, and promoting scientific research and international
publication. Dr. El-Sheikh expressed his gratitude for the university’s ongoing support and
reiterated the faculty’s commitment to entrepreneurial education, need-driven research, and
governance. He also shed light on the faculty’s modern curriculum, strategic research plan, and
efforts to establish Egypt’s first drug research and development lab within a university setting.

The ceremony honored outstanding faculty members, academic departments, innovative courses,
administrative staff, and top-performing students. Awards included categories such as Best
Department, Most Creative Courses, Best Researcher, and Team Spirit Award, among many
others. This event reaffirmed Mansoura National University’s dedication to celebrating excellence,
fostering innovation, and reinforcing its aspiration to attain international distinction.
