Pharmacy Students Shone in “Myth or Fact” Challenge During World
Antimicrobial Awareness Week

The Faculty of Pharmacy proudly celebrated the winners of the “Myth or Fact” competition,

which took place as part of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week and supervised by Dr. Basant
Maher, coordinator of the student Pharmacy Scientific Association, the competition aimed to
promote awareness about the proper use of antibiotics by challenging students to distinguish
between facts and myths. The initiative encouraged critical thinking and contributed to public
health education. Participants impressed the judging panel with their ability to verify information
and dispel common misconceptions, thereby fostering a more informed and responsible approach
to antibiotic use. Their achievements reflected the program’s commitment to scientific excellence
and positive societal impact.
