Antibiotic Sensitivity Testing

Antibiotic Sensitivity Test (AST) is a laboratory test

used to determine which antibiotics are effective
against a specific bacterial infection. It helps identify

whether bacteria are sensitive, resistant, or
                                               intermediate to certain antibiotics.

                                               Purpose of the Test:

                                                • Helps doctors choose the most effective antibiotic.
